Birdworld first opened its doors to the public in 1968 and was run as a family business by Roy Harvey, his wife and children. Now owned by the Haskins Group the park is at the forefront of conservations efforts

I have visited Birdworld Surrey many times over the years and seen it develope with new enclosures. Althought I have known the site for over 30 years this is possibly the first time I have visited with the intent to take photographs.

Mrs Cat Paw and I were joined by friends who are Photographers and bird lovers so that has also helped push me.

Terry Pratchett Owl Parliament

As all four of us are Terry Pratchett fans we obviously had to make for the Owl pariament first. While not all of the owls were happy to be photographed here are the ones I did managed to capture.

The Snowey Owl has a double significants to Mrs Cat Paw and me as she is a Snowey owl with our local Brownie pack and I get to support her as Woodpecker.
