The World by Night

Night photography or Nightscapes as they are often known add a new level of complexity to your photography, this post covers some of my favourite nightscapes from times past.

These include many festive images as that is often the most photogenic time of the year for many photographers and also the time when the nights draw in giving more time to take photographs.

Exploring cities at night

While yours truly is not the most seasoned traveller internationally I have covered a lot of ground in the UK and sometimes that has been at night so I thought I would start off with a few nightscape/streetscape cross overs from round the Britain.

Festive lights

Over the years I have enjoyed visiting some amazing places including some magnificent winter light displays in gardens and cities around the country, but why not call them Christmas lights?

Well while many of them are simply that some are there from November right through until mid-January and cover all of the festivals of lights.
